In this business, it’s not every day that you get the opportunity to spend an entire day basking in the sunshine and playing in the dirt. But that’s exactly what we did last summer to kick-off the video production for our client Dynamic Ditchers.

Dynamic Ditchers, a farm-equipment supplier based out of Dugald, MB., developed and built the Wolverine Extreme. These high-tech ditching machines combine the work of various agricultural equipment to make ditches, waterways and terraces three times faster than traditional methods.

A sophisticated piece of machinery like this just begged for a video highlighting all of its bells and whistles. We worked closely with Dynamic Ditchers to develop a script and storyboard that captured all of the important selling features of their prized machine. Then came the fun part.

Build Films shot original footage on that blistering hot day. And then, over the course of six months, Honest worked toward creating a confident, extreme and engaging (to farmers) video by selecting dynamic music, creating on-brand visuals and selecting a strong voice talent that would represent not only the machine but the company as well.

Compiling original footage with existing interviews and shots, Build Films developed a unique promotional video tailored to the agriculture industry in Canada, the U.S. and Australia. Created as part of a direct-mail promotional package, this video now lives on DVDs that will be played on farmer’s TVs across the world.

Dirt propelled 150 ft, 8-inch cutting teeth, tilt-control – this video was made entirely for the boys that like toys, and it doesn’t disappoint.

And let’s be honest (pardon the pun) spending the day outside, is a day well spent.
